Last year I picked up this fabric in a charm packet called Flirtations by Sandy Garvis. With the fabric already cut into squares it was easy to put together.
I just had to cut each square in half and then one of those strips in half again. Then I sewed the pieces back together to make these hearts. It's a small throw that will add a little Valentine's day decoration to my home.
Sandy came out with a new Valentines line this year called Candy Kisses that is darling. I have not been quilting as much as I used to. Cutting up fabric only to sew it back together again has not seemed like the best use of my time. But it's a fun hobby, I enjoy having to a work in progress going. I am good at starting projects but as you can see, not the best at finishing. I pieced this together last year and then pulled it back out to start quilting it this year. There is just something about working on a holiday project during that time of year. Hopefully by next V-Day it will be done!
