Okay, I am not typically a reader, I am what you would call a BUSY BODY. It's truly hard to slow me down. And so, I appreciate deeply the opportunity I have now in my life to enjoy reading with my oldest daughter who has simply given me a new perspective on reading that I didn't have before. Reading means personal time with her. Reading means talking about important things together. Reading means learning and growing together. For her sake, I have a renewed desire to track down great books about great people that can help my daughter recognize the good in this country, in this world. This book is one we just finished that I have to recommend. Abigail Adams was an amazing person and is a wonderful role model. It was fun to learn about her life and see how much good one person really can make in this world!

Yea! I am excited to get my hands on this one! I never knew how amazing she was until I watched John Adams. We need to find more great books to read with our kids.

I loved John Adams too. Can't wait to read about the lovely Abigail Adams! In the movie I was floored on so many choices she had to make and the outcomes of each one. Particularly the one where she left her children to support her husband in France...Cant wait!
