This book really makes sense. I love how she gives exact plans and ideas for teaching our kids. Sometimes it feels like my brain is swimming with so much stuff, it helps to have someone else say, here, this works well, this may not. Simple, fun plans to raise independent children! What scares me is that I only have a few years while they are young to establish good habits that I hope they will keep. Free agency is real and soon enough my work will be done, at least in the training area!

A WONDERFUL Parenting Book!
This book really makes sense. I love how she gives exact plans and ideas for teaching our kids. Okay, I am not typically a reader, I am what you would call a BUSY BODY. It's truly hard to slow me down. And so, I appreciate deeply the opportunity I have now in my life to enjoy reading with my oldest daughter who has simply given me a new perspective on reading that I didn't have before. Reading means personal time with her. Reading means talking about important things together. Reading means learning and growing together. For her sake, I have a renewed desire to track down great books about great people that can help my daughter recognize the good in this country, in this world. This book is one we just finished that I have to recommend. Abigail Adams was an amazing person and is a wonderful role model. It was fun to learn about her life and see how much good one person really can make in this world!

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
Last night at book group we discussed
We talked and wondered about how the holocaust happened. Did the average German understand what was really going on? How can we make sure something like this never happens again. We decided that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! Leaders like Hitler take advantage of the uneducated and uninformed. It is proven that people follow people and jump onto bandwagons even when it doesn't make sense or there is pain. I have decided to start paying better attention to what is going on in our country. I don't want to wake up one day and realize that America changed while I was busy changing diapers. We owe it to our children to pay attention. To teach them about America and the principals this great Nation was founded on. If we don't teach them how will they know? I would like to recommend books here on this site that will help us learn and inform those around us of truth. We owe it to all the great men and woman who have died for this country to be informed! Glenn Beck is trying to do what he can to unite people who believe in the traditional values of America. Read about what these values are and send him your picture if they are values you live by! We cannot afford to be ignorant now! Knowledge is power! Now for all you who are thinking..."she has gone looney", I have a question for you. Since when does America vote on bills without first studying and debating the context of the bill? I am not the smartest when it comes to the way our government works but this is just beyond logical. Especially when it involves putting America and the future of America (our children) in so much debt.
P.S. No I am not saying that Barack is Hitler or that he is going to start a holocaust. I am saying lets be informed about whats going on. Anyone have any good books to recommend?
